The Pickerel River watershed, which lies south and parallel to the French River and Lake Nipissing, is actually a series of lakes connected by rivers. The main body, known as the Upper Pickerel, affords the boater with 40 miles of continuous travel with many tributaries and deep bays to explore as well. The river travels through predominately crown land with large stands of maples, red pine and white pine. It's serenity and beauty is enhanced by natural granite along the shore. |
